After finishing the design and construction of the Christian Church of Tianning County, the owners of the Christian Church of Jiashan County come to us specially and entrusts this challenge to us. Space is the essence of architecture. It’s been our ultimate goal we are pursuing with the church construction to how to create a space where we can experience the sense of holiness. We continue with the entrance design strategy in the Tianning Church project with some reinforcement. The entrance space is not very large, but with intended winding path to the entrance. In addition, we design many different space experiences along the path, so as to give the faithful members a transition of spiritual state. The main hall space plane set the classical Greek Cross as the prototype, with two floors and seats surrounding on three sides, thus ensuring the shortest distance to the chancel and the best visual experience. The naturally formed centripetal space will create a sacred and quiet church temperament when the sunshine transmits through the brick grille of the four sides above the main hall.

在完成天凝教堂的设计建造后，嘉善县基督教会的业主慕名而来委托我们接下此项挑战。空间是建筑的本质。如何创造一个能够体验神圣感的空间是我们在教堂建筑中一直追寻的终极目标。我们延续并加强了在天凝基督教堂项目中入口设计的策略：场地入口空间并不大，通过有意的曲折建筑入口路径，并在此条路径上设计不同的空间体验来让信徒有一个精神状态的过渡。主堂空间平面以经典希腊十字为原型，二层和楼座座位三面围合，确保和圣坛最近的距离和最佳的视觉体验。自然形成的一个向心性空间，主堂上空四个侧面砖砌的格栅在阳光的透射后，塑造出神圣静谧的教堂气质。
